Herns is an architectural designer and multidisciplinary creative shaped by the worlds he has moved through, from music and street culture to architecture, art, and design.
He believes beauty and luxury should not be reserved for the wealthy, just as culture and creativity do not belong to any one community. His work comes from questioning those boundaries and finding the space where different influences can exist together.
For Herns, listening to Frank Ocean while walking through a museum in Shanghai and explaining architectural ideas to a friend outside a nightclub are not opposing experiences. They are both part of who he is and how he sees the world.
His perspective is a product of memory, environment, technology, knowledge, and exposure. He is not interested in choosing between the street and the institution, culture and refinement, or accessibility and luxury. His work is about creating something new from all of it.
